Dear Mom / HAPPY BIRTHDAY ! / This card, I think, shows / our hotel in Baku, on the / Caspian Sea. Left USSR / yesterday and are now in / Romania, which is very / beautiful and very civilized / compared to the Soviet Union. / Sorry we cannot be with you / on November 11th but we'll be / thinking of you and will toast / you with whatever / the local drink is in / Yugoslavia. Here it / is vodka made from / plums. Witz sends love, and / so do I. Hope you are well — Love / Phyllis & Richard
