Description
The artist made this drawing as a guide for the reupholstery of two chairs. He gave it to Maybelle Wolfe, friend and interior designer, whose expertise the Diebenkorns sometimes relied upon. The date in the upper right corner was added by Wolfe. "Diebenkorn's chair" was added by either the artist or his wife, Phyllis.
