Description
This drawing depicts the Studio 13 Jass Band which originated c. 1946 as a mix of teachers and students from the California School of Fine Arts, as well as other friends and the occasional professional musician. The band's membership rotated. In the 1950s it included David Park on piano, Elmer Bischoff on trumpet, Charles Clark on clarinet, Jack Lowe on drums, and Wally Hedrick on banjo.
